FuKu Trip Up North

Robert and I finally made it up north again to visit our niece and nephew, Ollie and Mei-Mei, the goofy Krause-Lin kids. Janice and Bob treated us to two nights at Mary's B&B in their neighborhood and took us to the exclusive Claremont Hotel spa so that we all could lounge by the pool on Saturday. We're shocked to have had spent the afternoon at a $12,000-membership fee place, but Janice took a prospective "sales" tour so they'd wine and dine us. It was chilly so Robert and I mainly soaked in the outdoor hottub, but thumbs up for the free lunch they gave us. The kids are so big now (it's been a year since seeing them last)-- Mei-Mei's a chatterbox and smiling little charmer. Our nephew Dominic back east must be in college by now--they grow so fast.
Judging too by the way Mei-mei managed to balance her tiger toy on the back of a giraffe, she's got huge potential to becoming a great architect.

We built a tunnel for Ollie--he's an explorer for sure. Here is is peeking out from a secret opening.

We also were thrilled to meet Naima Ellers that we forgot to take pictures! Seeing David open the door with Naima in tow was endearing (my senior prom date is all growns up!). And hanging out with Sascha was great too. What an adorable family they make.
Back to the real world again. Midterms loom for me, parent conferences and final grading for Robert. :)
Miss you guys!
